Delta Air Lines said it plans to begin flying from Atlanta to Port Au Prince, Haiti starting April 7.

It's the first time the airline has flown the nonstop route in at least 20 years. Atlanta-based Delta said it will operate the weekly flights on Saturdays with an Airbus A320 aircraft. The flights will continue year-round, according to the airline.

Delta already flies daily from New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport to Port Au Prince.
