Delta Air Lines said it is capping air fares for flights from certain cities in the path of Hurricane Florence.
Atlanta-based Delta said through Sept 16, the fare cap is $299 each way in coach class for flights to Atlanta from coastal cities in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia. Some fares may be less.
The fare caps for flights from inland cities such as Raleigh-Durham are higher, up to $599 each way for coach class to the West Coast.
Delta is also warning travelers that flights may be disrupted by the hurricane, and says customers can sign up for flight notifications.
The airline is allowing travelers with flights already booked to, from or through affected cities to change their travel plans without paying certain change fees.
The change fee waiver applies to flights to, from or through Savannah; Charleston, Columbia and Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Charlotte, Fayetteville, Greensboro, Jacksonville, New Bern, Raleigh-Durham and Wilmington, N.C.; Charlottesville, Norfolk, Newport News, Roanoke and Richmond, Virg.
