Char-Broil, the outdoor grill maker based in Columbus, has named Christine Robins as president and chief executive officer, the parent company announced Monday.

W.C. Bradley Co., the Char-Broil brand’s parent company, said Robins joined the company from Pittsburgh-based BodyMedia, where she served as president and CEO for the past five years. BodyMedia is a producer of health sensors and software that help consumers manage wellness.

Before joining BodyMedia, Robins was president and CEO of Seattle-based Philips Oral Healthcare, whose brands include Sonicare power toothbrushes.

She also spent 17 years in marketing and finance at S.C. Johnson, the household products company.

Columbus-based W.C. Bradley is also the parent of W.C. Bradley Co. Real Estate, Zebco Brands and Lamplight.

Donald Trump's administration deployed the military to Washington, D.C., in the name of fighting crime, and in an Aug. 11 news conference he mentioned the possibility of military being sent to other large American cities, all of which are led by Black, Democratic mayors.
