AirTran eyes Aruba, Bahamas, Jamaica

AirTran Airways has filed a federal application to begin flying to Nassau, Bahamas; Montego Bay, Jamaica; and Aruba later this year and early next year. In its application to the U.S. Department of Transportation, AirTran proposed to begin flights from Atlanta, Baltimore and Orlando to Nassau and Montego Bay; and from Atlanta and Orlando to Aruba. Orlando-based AirTran has its largest hub in Atlanta.
