A Libertarian lays bare his support for a Georgia hopeful

Before this weekend, MARTA engineer Derrick Grayson may have been most known in Georgia for using Sen. Johnny Isakson's illness as a fundraising tool.

After it, he’s irrevocably linked to what may be the most bizarre event at a political convention so far this year (although 2016 is still young).

Grayson was the longshot political contender who finished a distant second to Isakson in last week's Georgia primary. Spurned by the GOP faithful, the self-styled "Minister of Truth" headed to Orlando this weekend to run for the Libertarian's Vice President slot.

It didn't go so well for him – he eventually withdrew and ended with just a handful of votes – and his effort to block former Massachusetts Gov. William Weld went up in smoke.

The day went even worse for one of his supporters. James Weeks, a Michigan Libertarian, rose to vouch for Grayson. Then he used his two-minute speech to do something inexplicable.

It cannot be unseen.
