Snow is falling in Paulding and some of the 49 other counties under a winter storm warning through 10 a.m. Thursday. Gov. Nathan Deal declared a state of emergency for disaster preparedness starting at 2 p.m. Forecasters warn that the system could bring accumulations from around 2 inches in metro Atlanta to upwards of 6 inches in the mountain counties.
