U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder will visit Atlanta Monday and speak at Ebenezer Baptist Church at a post-Ferguson, Mo. discussion about police-community relationships, CNN reports.
Holder's appearance is likely part of a coordinated White House strategy announced last week by President Obama to strengthen relationships between police and the communities they serve.
Protests have continued throughout the nation after a grand jury last week chose not to indict the Ferguson, Mo. police officer who shot and killed Michael Brown after the officer scuffled with the unarmed teenager.
According to the CNN report:
Holder will hold a roundtable discussion with law enforcement, local officials, community leaders, student leaders and faith leaders on race relations and policing in minority communities.
Following the meeting, Holder will speak at Atlanta's Ebenezer Baptist Church, where Martin Luther King Jr. once preached.
