Jordan High School in Columbus, Ga., has banned the wearing of camouflage because of discipline problems that could be connected to gang activity, according to school officials.

Principal Alton White informed parents that the new policy was implemented "to ensure the orderly operation of school and the safety of everyone on campus."

Columbus police say that "at least one gang in this area" wears camouflage as its colors.
