It would be nice if the federal government handed out more accessible information about grants doled out by Uncle Sam, then I wouldn't have to go to the FEMA web site repeatedly.

But most of the time, it is almost impossible to get a centralized listing of where money is sent out by the feds.

That's why I'm again listing a new chunk of money handed out by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, which shows what fire departments are getting grants under the Assistance to Firefighters Grants.

No judgment is made as to whether or not this spending is 'good' or 'bad' - it is just an effort to show the taxpayer where money is going.

You get to make the decision yourself on what your taxpayer dollars should fund.
