The Rep. Massa Story

The story around ex-Congressman Eric Massa (D-NY) continues to bubble, not so much along the lines of what type of tickling he did to male members of his staff, but what Democratic leaders knew about the allegations and when.

That's straight out of the Scandal Playbook, as Republicans tried to do their level best to keep the flames flickering on this story.

Reports last night indicated that the House Ethics Committee was closing its probe of Massa, which is standard operating procedure, since he is no longer a member of the Congress.

Politico reported last night that an aide to Speaker Nancy Pelosi knew of some issues surrounding Massa, but it seemed to be short of knowledge of any sexual misconduct.

Still, it gives Republicans something to point at, as they look to keep alive ethical questions surrounding Massa and the Democratic Leadership.

I just wonder when one of the staffers is going to talk - you know - one of the guys that supposedly got "tickled".

That will make the New York Post and the New York Daily News go nuts.
