Here is one provision of the changes made in the health care bill that won over the support of Sen. Ben Nelson of Nebraska - extra money in federal health matching funds.

This is on page 98 of the amendment submitted today by Democrats.

Notwithstanding subsection (b) and paragraphs (1) and (2) of this subsection, the Federal medical assistance percentage otherwise determined under subsection 7 (b) with respect to all or any portion of a fiscal year that 8 begins on or after January 1, 2017, for the State of Nebraska, with respect to amounts expended for newly eligible individuals described in subclause (VIII) of section 11 1902(a)(10)(A)(i), shall be determined as provided for 12 under subsection (y)(1)(A) (notwithstanding the period 13 provided for in such paragraph).

In the actual text of the amendment, you can't find the word "Nebraska" if you search for it.  Why?  Because in this section, it is hyphenated, like this:

"begins on or after January 1, 2017, for the State of Ne-
braska, with respect to amounts expended for newly eligi-"

Just a coincidence, eh?
