Tonight, on the softball field, Central-Carroll claimed their first-round class AAAA series after a 4-2 victory over Stephens County in game three of the series. In game three of the Heard County vs. Union County series, the Panthers battled back after tying the series to defeat Union County 10-5. After game two of the Houston County vs. Lovejoy matchup was postponed, the Bears continued to roll and defeated Lovejoy 7-0 and won the series without giving up a single run. Mt. Zion-Carroll claimed game two of their series with Charlton County, winning 5-1 to advance to the class A-public sweet sixteen. Oconee County took game 1 of their series against LaGrange but failed to clinch the second losing 10-2. They bounced back today with a close 5-4 victory after Junior Kailey Adcock knocked a walk-off homerun to seal the deal on their spot in the class AAAA sweet sixteen.
Due to poor weather conditions throughout the state, many games have been postponed to later dates in the week.

On the volleyball court, Westminster picked up a 2-0 win over Greater Atlanta Christian to advance to the area 4-AAA region finals. The Wildcats remain undefeated in the region with six wins. Brookwood defeated rival Parkview 3-0 to advance to the region 7 class AAAAAAA finals. The Broncos remain undefeated in the region with seven wins. The Mill Creek Hawks added two wins to their season, besting Discovery and Peachtree Ridge by a score of 2-0. Class AAAAAAA fourth-ranked Lambert had their hands full with a strong Milton squad, losing 2-3 to the Eagles after defeating them twice earlier in the season.
