How the game was won: The Cougars jumped out to a 7-0 lead, but couldn't keep pace with the Spartans. South Paulding gained a 23-7 halftime lead after four Alexander first half turnovers and coasted to the finish line. Alexander's star running back Daetrich Harrington was held in check as the Cougars were outgained on the ground 275 to 50.

Top Performers: Kameron Watts powered the Spartan rushing attack, scoring touchdowns of 45 and 20 yards. …Chase Wilkerson found Anthony Brown for a 25-yard touchdown and Cam Wyche for five yards. …Nehemiah Lee booted a 40-yard field goal. …For Alexander, Baylor Whitfield finished 19-of-32 for 188 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. …EJ Turner caught seven passes for 106 yards and a touchdown while Justin Hall hauled in 11 passes for 81 yards.
