King’s Ridge Christian in Alpharetta hired Terry Crowder as football coach Friday.

Crowder led 2-year-old Denmark of Forsyth County to a 7-3 record and playoff berth in 2019. He announced his retirement from public schools last week and expressed that he would be seeking opportunities with private schools.

‘’King’s Ridge is just one of those places that I’ve always had in the back of mind,’’ Crowder said. “I’ve been at Chattahoochee [also in north Fulton County] and driven past King’s Ridge a thousand times. I know they want to be good. They’re letting me do things I think we need to do to be successful. I love the opportunity and challenge of it.’’

King’s Ridge began varsity football in 2008. The football team has never reached the playoffs.

Crowder is 103-70 as a head coach. He led Chattahoochee to a Class AAAA title in 2010.
