Clarke Central 44, Gainesville 7:

How the game was won: In Clarke Central's previous nine meetings with Gainesville, the Gladiators lost seven games and the two wins were narrow 14-7 victories. Friday's 37-point victory is the largest in series history and moves Clarke Central to 3-4 this year, while dropping Gainesville to 4-3. JaQua Daniels answered Gainesville's only lead of the game with a 63-yard screen pass touchdown to tie it 7-7. Sophomore quarterback Jack Mangel added two touchdown passes and a touchdown run and the defense produced an Aaron Gresham safety and Zay Brown fumble return for a touchdown to make it 37-7 at the half. Reggie Smothers gave Gainesville a 44-7 lead with an interception return for a touchdown in the third quarter.

Top Performers: Clarke Central's Rayshawn McCall set the school record with his 20th career reception seven seconds before the half. … Jack Mangel rushed for a touchdown and threw a touchdown pass to McCall and Desmond Sorels.
