On the even of bowl selection day, here’s my guess at how the ACC tie-in bowls will go Sunday (pending Clemson win in the ACC title game)

CFP: Clemson

Orange Bowl: Florida State

Citrus: Louisville

Russell Athletic: Miami

Belk: Virginia Tech

Pinstripe: Pitt

Sun: North Carolina

TaxSlayer: Georgia Tech

Military: N.C. State

Independence: Wake Forest

Quick Lane: Boston College

As reported earlier, I think the TaxSlayer (née Gator) would be quite happy with either Miami or Georgia Tech , and if Miami gets nabbed by the Russell Athletic, the TaxSlayer folks can list the Yellow Jackets as their No. 1 choice and be assured of getting them.

Should Georgia Tech get invited to the Dec. 31 game in Jacksonville, Fla., a likely opponent would be Kentucky.

If Virginia Tech should win, it's a bit murkier. My guess would be Georgia Tech ends up at the Military Bowl in Annapolis, Md.

Healthcare at College Park, a nursing home in Fulton County, GA, stands shuttered with its door chained on July 26, 2025, having closed in recent months. Researchers at Brown University developed a list of U.S. nursing homes they predicted were at risk of closing based on 2023 data, and would be at elevated risk of closing due to the One Big, Beautiful Bill Act's cuts to Medicaid. Healthcare at College Park was on their list. It survived past its last federal inspection in August of 2024 but has now closed down. The bill's biggest provisions will roll out over years starting Jan. 1. (Ariel Hart/AJC)
