Mouth off about traffic in Gwinnett
If you're a Gwinnett commuter who's tired of sitting in traffic, now's your chance to vent about it in a way that's actually productive.
The county Department of Transportation is asking residents to voice their opinion about Gwinnett’s current and future transportation needs.
It's part of the process of updating the county's Comprehensive Transportation Plan, the guiding document for how roads and perhaps future transit options will develop over the next 25 years.
You can participate by attending one of six public meetings, taking a survey and visiting www.Destination2040Gwinnett.com to learn about the Comprehensive Transportation Plan. The online survey is available at https://destination2040.metroquest.com/.
The first meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Bogan Park Community Recreation Center at 2723 Bogan Road in Buford. Others are set as follows:
- 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Shorty Howell Park Activity Building at 2750 Pleasant Hill Rd. in Duluth.
- 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lucky Shoals Park Community Recreation Center at 4651 Britt Rd. in Norcross.
- 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 29 at Snellville City Hall Council Chambers at 2342 Oak Rd. SW in Snellville.
- 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 18 at Dacula Park Activity Building at 2735 Old Auburn Ave. in Dacula.
- 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Gwinnett County Department of Planning and Development at One Justice Square 446 West Crogan St. in Lawrenceville.
