Delta to start nonstop flights from Atlanta to Shanghai

The world's busiest airport has only a handful of routes to Asia, and it is set to soon see the return of one high-profile route: Atlanta-Shanghai.

Delta Air Lines aims to launch the service a year from now, in July 2018, with 291-seat Boeing 777-200LRs.

Delta CEO Ed Bastian said in an interview with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Shanghai “is one of the most requested routes that we have here in Atlanta."
