Hancock Fabrics is closing its stores for good, including its handful of locations in metro Atlanta.

The crafts and fabric store filed for Chapter 11 protection in February and announced late last week that it was ceasing operations at its 185 stores.

A going out of business sale began last Friday and will continue for several weeks before all merchandise is sold, the company said in a release.

According to its website, metro Atlanta Hancock stores include:
