Pace and Galloway said in emails to parents on Thursday that they have come to an agreement where Galloway will acquire Paces’ Warren Road Softball Complex. The Pace facilities will become the home of Galloway’s softball and middle school baseball teams and a practice facility for Galloway’s high school team.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Attempts to reach officials at Pace and Galloway were not immediately successful.

“It’s a great solution for Galloway, and the opportunity presented itself at the perfect time,” Galloway Head of School Suzanna Jemsby wrote in an email to parents. “We still have some serious hurdles to clear, and we may not have final approvals until late July, but I did want to share the good news with you.  I hope you are as excited as I am that this well-equipped athletic facility may soon be available for our students.”

Pace said it plans to consolidate its sport facilities at its 23-acre Riverview Sports Complex. The proceeds of the land sale will finance new softball and middle school baseball facilities, Robert Sheft, chairman of Pace’s board of trustees, wrote in an email.

The new Pace facilities will include a softball field with artificial turf, batting cages, locker rooms and restrooms.
