It’s dry now, but don’t rule out spotty showers later, according to Channel 2 Action News.

There’s “no severe weather threat,” Channel 2 meteorologist Brian Monahan said. “But a few downpours (are) possible through the afternoon, especially on the south side.”

It will, however, remain warm.

Atlanta reached a high of 81 degrees about 4 p.m., and other surrounding cities topped out in the 70s.

Expect scattered showers about 7 p.m. with temperatures in the low 70s, Monahan said. Isolated showers are expected to last through Friday.

There is a 30 percent chance of rain Thursday and a 70 percent chance Friday.

But there’s some good news.

Temps should reach the 80s and sunshine should return this weekend.

Current temps are 78 degrees in Atlanta, 69 in Blairsville and 77 in Griffin.

The expected high Wednesday is 83 with a low of 59.
