The same gloomy weather that greeted metro Atlanta early Monday can expect to stay through the evening, according to Channel 2 Action News.
Atlanta reached a high of 48, 20 degrees lower than the average for this time of year. Currently, it’s 47 degrees.
“As we head through this evening and overnight, we’re going to be cool,” Channel 2 meteorologist Brad Nitz said.
April is looking warmer than average, so we have that to look forward to.

Patchy drizzle lingered in parts of the metro area in the evening, Channel 2 reported.
“No significant rainfall, just a few sprinkles here and there,” Nitz said.
The rain has washed away some of the pollen. After Atlanta saw 2,325 particles per cubic meter of air Sunday, the highest total so far this season, Monday’s pollen count dropped to 1,308, according to Atlanta Allergy and Asthma.
For perspective, last year's season high was 3,559 and the 2016 season high was 4,107.

The pollen count could increase this week as temperatures rise.
Highs are expected to increase to 54 degrees Tuesday and 75 Wednesday, Channel 2 reported.
