It was cloudy, warm and muggy Tuesday, and it may stay that way for a few more days, according to Channel 2 Action News.
Atlanta reached 87 degrees Tuesday and surpassed the expected high of 84, which is 10 degrees higher than the average for this time of year, according to Channel 2.
The current temperature is 85 degrees, but with the humidity temps feel closer to the mid-90s, Channel 2 Chief meteorologist Glenn Burns said.
“It’s going to stay warm for much of the week, but we’ll get a little bit of reprieve as we get into Thursday,” Burns said.
A cold front is expected to come through late Wednesday, but that won’t move temperatures much.
Highs are expected to stay in the 80s with partly cloudy skies the rest of the week, Burns said.
Atlanta should wake up Wednesday to lows in the 60s and reach a high of 86 degrees.
