It was warm Thursday in metro Atlanta, and it’s expected to stay that way through Saturday, according to Channel 2 Action News.
Currently, the temperature is 69 degrees in the city. Atlanta reached a high of 77.

And the weekend is expected to bring warmer weather.

Forecast highs are 78 degrees Friday and 79 degrees Saturday in Atlanta, Channel 2 reported. Athens, Eatonton, Griffin and LaGrange could see highs in the 80s both days.
Pollen remains a problem, but rain may help wash some of the yellow stuff away. There is a 30 percent chance of rain Saturday and a 100 percent chance Sunday.

“Some storms in west Georgia could turn severe (Sunday),” Channel 2 meteorologist Karen Minton said.
The high is also expected to drop to 66 degrees Sunday.
