It was windy and cool in Atlanta on Thursday, and those conditions should linger overnight Friday, according to Channel 2 Action News.
Expect to wake up to near-freezing temperatures before they rise to a high of 61 degrees, Channel 2 reported. The average for this time of year is 67.

A light breeze is expected Friday afternoon, a far cry from the 46-mph wind gusts recorded earlier this week at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Wind speeds topped out at 25 mph Thursday, Channel 2 reported. Winds are currently at 17 mph.

Even with the breezy and cool weather, Atlanta's pollen count is at 794 particles per cubic meter of air, the highest so far this season, according to Atlanta Allergy and Asthma. But Thursday's count does not touch last year's season high of 3,559 or the 2016 season high of 4,107.
Atlanta reached a high of 56 degrees Thursday, but there could be warmer temps by the weekend when Saturday’s forecast high is 71. There is also a 30 percent chance of rain. Those chances increase to 40 percent Sunday and Monday.
