A handcrafted cabinet provides storage and display space for products used in the spa's nail salon, offering privacy to guests while still allowing natural light from the outdoors to enter the area. Historical photographs from the Library of Virginia are displayed throughout the spa.

Natural light brings a sense of the outdoors into the reception area and nearly every treatment room in the spa. The brick floor continues the feel of the brick garden path, while handcrafted metal light fixtures and furnishings reflect scenes in photographs of historic Virginia gardens.

Cherry furnishings, handcrafted metal light fixtures and photographs of historic Virginia gardens adorn the vanity area in the women's locker room.

Original dormers on the second floor overlook formal gardens, but the shutters may be closed for a more serene or private feel for guests receiving spa services. The carpet is reminiscent of sisal rugs found in sunrooms and porches. Yarmouth blue paint covers the handmade cabinetry throughout the spa.

A new outdoor pool nestles into a gently sloping hillside adjacent to the spa overlooking the Golden Horseshoe Gold golf course. The pool area not only provides swimming but is also a beautiful setting for a private reception.

The wisteria-covered entry and brick walk carry the look and feel of the Historic Area into the spa reception area.

The conservatory salon carries out the garden feel with its brick floor, handcrafted cabinetry painted Yarmouth blue and large windows overlooking the gardens.

A mother and daughter enjoy manicures in the conservatory salon where large original mullioned windows bring in natural light and provide a view of the gardens.
