From an intown loft to a Mediterranean inspired house in Lithonia, we offer a month's worth of Private Quarters in one gallery. The five houses featured in September also included Andruw and Nicole Jones' home in Sugarloaf Country Club. Enjoy the best photos from our September galleries.

Shane and Pam Godfrey custom built a 10,000 square-foot home in Talking Rock plus a home for Shane's mother and grandfather (left background). The six bedroom, 6.5 bath house has a spectacular view of the mountains.

The Godfreys used an antique stain on the winding staircase to make the floors look worn.

A stone archway surrounds the cooktop in the kitchen. Pam chose cream-colored granite counters and a chestnut antique stain for the cabinets.

The Godfreys' family living room features a stone fireplace, exposed beams and high ceilings. The children can escape to the screened porch to the right of the fireplace. Overstuffed sofas give the room a cozy air.

Shane and Pam enjoy a spacious master bedroom with high ceilings and a fireplace.

The Godfreys' basement has a Western theme, complete with weathered-looking furniture, skulls, cowhide rugs and a hand-carved pine bar.

Michael and Maria Gavenchak's home is located in The Estates at Atlanta National in Milton. It covers 9,600 square feet.

A view from above the formal living room. The Gavenchaks bought all the Italian marble and chandeliers for their home before they started building. Their preparation kept the building process on track.

The Gavenchaks love to entertain, and the keeping room off the kitchen is a gathering spot for guests.

Maria enjoys her restaurant-style kitchen.

A small, brown jewelry box on the end table in the living room tells a grand love story. Maria Gavenchak's grandfather made the box for her grandmother when he was imprisoned during the Spanish Civil War. A painting by Michael's mother, Teddy, brightens the room.

The foyer features a three-story bank of windows and one of the couple's prized possessions, a five-foot-tall chandelier .

About 1,500 people live in the artsy Castleberry Hill district near downtown. Richard Jones ocupies a four-level loft on Peters Street.

While the loft has the typical high ceilings, it also has an intimate feel because it's divided into four floors.

Jones keeps his style in the master bedroom simple. His grandmother was an antiques dealer, and he grew up around her trade. Many of his furnishings, including this trunk, came from her home in North Carolina.

The space under the lower level stairs is put to good use as an office.

A friend used Jones' extensive record collection to wallpaper the bathroom. He placed plexiglass over the album covers for safekeeping. The albums are arranged in the colors of the rainbow .

Christopher Moulder designed the dining room chandelier, titled 'Baleen,' specifically for the space.

Al and Stella Ringer's Lithonia home chimes with chic bold style and color. The modern Mediterranean home in in Lithonia's Serenity Village.

A contemporary Asian theme rules the dining room, which features a Charles Bibbs painting.

The entry features wrought iron, a unique chandelier and a painting by one of Stella Ringers' favorite artists, Charles Bibbs.

The living room has a custom-made rug and a teal/chocolate brown color scheme. It connects to the kitchen.

The Asian theme is extended with the breakfast table.

Sconces filled with floral arrangements decorate the purple and gold guest bedroom.
