Going to see the Falcons play the 49ers at Candlestick Park? We hope you left some time to see what else San Francisco has to offer.

Starting right outside of AT&T Park is a waterside walk along the Embarcadero, where you'll see public art such as "Cupid's Span," pictured here.

Pier 39 along the Embarcadero is a tourist attraction with a carnival atmosphere. Say hello to the seals that sun themselves on the docks.

Further up the Embarcadero is Ghirardelli Square, where you can grab an Irish coffee and watch the Powell-Hyde cable cars get turned around for a return trip.

No trip to the city is complete without a walk across the Golden Gate Bridge. Or, get close to its base at historic Fort Point (pictured) for the most iconic photo vantage.

Lombard Street, popularly known as "the world's crookedest street," features eight hairpin turns in one block.

The notorious prison on Alcatraz was first a fort and later became an Army disciplinary barracks before being taken over by the Bureau of Prisons in 1934.

The North Beach neighborhood is famous for its Italian community and its connection to the Beatniks, who made places such as City Lights Bookstore and Vesuvio Cafe famous.

The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art is devoted to more than 26,000 works of 20th Century art, including works by René Magritte, Marcel Duchamp, Ellsworth Kelly, Robert Rauschenberg, Piet Mondrian, Jasper Johns, Mark Rothko and Chuck Close.

Coit Tower, on Telegraph Hill is an iconic piece of San Francisco's history and skyline. Besides the great view, the art deco tower features murals created as a WPA project commissioned in the 1930s.

The Presidio, including Crissy Field, is a former Army base that is now a cherished waterfront park with scenic wooded walking trails.

The Mission District is named after Mission San Francisco de Asis, the oldest building in the city and the church that the city is named after. These days, tourists are more likely to visit for the arts culture and numerous murals and graffiti.

Although many of the original inhabitants have moved out to other areas of the city as well as suburbs, Chinatown is still a starting point for many new immigrants from Asia.

Golden Gate Park covers 1,017 acres and includes several attractions within it, such as the Conservatory of Flowers, the Japanese Tea Garden (pictured), the Academy of Sciences museum, the de Young Museum, windmills and bison.

The M.H. de Young Memorial Museum is the city's premier fine arts showplace.
