LP O’Brien is an Afro‑Boricua beverage strategist, writer, and creative director whose work sits at the intersection of culture, hospitality, and innovation. She first gained global recognition as the inaugural winner of Netflix’s Drink Masters, where her approach to research, storytelling, culture, and flavor set her apart. O’Brien writes From the Source, a quarterly column examining non‑alcoholic beverage culture through a diasporic, historical, and creative lens, and contributes to multiple food and lifestyle publications. She also publishes Not Drinking, a Substack offering recipes and survival tools for anyone choosing not to drink, sometimes or forever. Her first book is scheduled for release in 2028. In 2025, she was appointed Global Creative Director of Beverage for F1 Arcade, where she leads the development of a globally standardized cocktail and non‑alcoholic program across the brand’s international locations. Her work emphasizes theatricality, accessibility, and narrative, balancing guest experience with thoughtful design and education for bar teams worldwide. O’Brien is also a shareholder at Siponey Spritz Co., contributing to the brand’s non‑alcoholic and sustainability‑focused portfolio. A vocal advocate for wellness in hospitality, she is the co‑founder of Focus on Health and serves on the Culinary Council for No Kid Hungry: DC.
