The Dallas Cowboys are still America’s (most valuable) team.

Not just America, actually, but the world. For the second consecutive year, the Cowboys topped Forbes’ franchise value rankings.

The Cowboys are valued at $4.2 billion. Jerry Jones bought the franchise in 1989 for $150 million.

The Yankees were second at $3.7 billion, with Manchester United ($3.69 billion), Barcelona ($3.64 billion) and Real Madrid ($3.58 billion) following.

Twenty-nine of the NFL’s 32 teams made the top 50 (Cincinnati, Buffalo and Detroit missed the cut).

Jones will be inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame next month as a “contributor to the game.” Aside from the Cowboys’ three championship under Jones, he helped push the NFL’s revenue stream to a new level, spearheading the television deal and most recently, the Rams relocation from St. Louis to Los Angeles.

The Cowboys made an NFL-record $700 million in 2015. Every NFL team recorded at least $26 million, but Dallas went $177 million over the next franchise.
