Matt “Big City” Adams has made a name for himself since he arrived in Atlanta on Saturday.

His latest stunt, a walk-off single at 1:52 a.m. early Wednesday morning, gave the Braves their second win over the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Tuesday night’s game against the Pirates had been delayed for more than three hours before Adams’ hit won the game, 6-5.

There were two outs in the bottom of the ninth with runners on first and second when Adams smacked the ball into left field.

Adams was traded to the Braves from the St. Louis Cardinals less than a weeks ago after Freddie Freeman fractured his wrist. Freeman is expected to be out for 10 weeks.

The Braves play the third of four games against the Pirates on Wednesday night at 7:35 from SunTrust Park.
