James Corden, host of The Late, Late Show, must have known there was a good chance US soccer team captain Carli Lloyd was going to kick the ball into the target and dunk him into a tank of water - and that is exactly what happened.

After all, she’s an MVP.

After complaining that the balls needed to be inflated, Lloyd dunked the fully clothed Corden on her third try.

Lloyd was given the Golden Ball Trophy as the World Cup’s best player after racking up six goals and one assist.
