Left fielder Matt Kemp started the Atlanta Braves' doubleheader against the Texas Rangers with a bang.

With two outs in the bottom of the first inning, Kemp hit a two-run home run to deep left field, scoring Freddie Freeman.

Kemp’s home run— his 17th of the season— put the Braves up, 2-1.

The Braves and Rangers were rained out on Tuesday night, creating the double header on Wednesday.

The Braves and Rangers play the second of Wednesday’s two games at 7:35 p.m. from SunTrust Park.
