In the seventh inning of Wednesday night’s game against the Washington Nationals, Matt Kemp hit the first pitch of his at bat over right field for a grand slam.

Kemp’s 19th home run of the season scored Ozzie Albies, Dansby Swason and Freddie Freeman at Washington D.C.’s Nationals Park and gave the Braves an 8-2 lead.

Kemp went 1-for-4 on Wednesday with four RBIs and one walk.

The Braves went on to win Wednesday’s matchup, 8-2.

The Braves and Nationals play the Nationals Park series finale on Thursday at 7:05 p.m.
