Before he steps on the court at Philips Arena for his rookie season with the Atlanta Hawks, Trae Young wants everyone to know his name.

Young posted a video Monday on Twitter titled “Dear NBA” which included highlights from his freshman season at Oklahoma and a message to his followers.

“Dear NBA, I want you to know this isn’t luck,” the former Oklahoma point guard said in the video. “I’ve trained for hours every single day. I’ve transformed my body and honed every aspect of my game all for this moment. My moment.”

Young was selected fifth overall in the 2018 NBA Draft, but was then traded to the Hawks for a 2019 first-round selection and the Draft’s third-overall pick Luka Doncic.
