Nearing the end of Saturday’s two-hour training camp, a scuffle broke out during 11-on-11 practice. Rookie linebacker Tyler Starr was one of the few players initially involved.

“It was just a little friendly competition,” Starr said. “Guys don’t like to get beat on plays.”

Starr said he couldn’t really tell who else was involved but he believes it began with him and one of the tight ends.

“If you’re not competing you’re not getting better,” He said.

From the sideline, safety William Moore held back cornerback Desmond Trufant jokingly.

“Tempers rise,” Starr said. “But what happens on the field stays on the field.”
