While three-star cornerback Juanyeh Thomas has spent significant time at Auburn and is predicted to commit to the Tigers before National Signing Day, the 6-foot-2, 204 pound rising senior from Niceville, Fla. can't write off Georgia Tech yet.

Out of his top three schools, Auburn, Florida and Georgia Tech, Thomas told SEC Country it's the Yellow Jackets that stick out.

“Coaches get in touch with me,” Thomas said, according to Benjamin Wolk. “He tells me how he wants me. So he’s been talking to me every day now that coaches can call.”

The Niceville High School student visited Alabama over the weekend and plans to visit Georgia Tech before announcing his commitment which is tentatively scheduled for Aug. 5, according to Wolk.

In the last few weeks of recruiting, Thomas wants to choose the school where he can have the biggest influence.

“Just the school that wants me the most and whoever thinks I can come in and impact their program in a big way,” he said, according to Wolk. “I’m going to come to a school and work hard to try to play as a freshman. That’s the goal right now.”
