Three Panthers make All-Sun Belt team

Georgia State wide receiver Albert Wilson, offensive tackle Ulrick John and linebacker Joseph Peterson were named to the All-Sun Belt Conference team on Wednesday.

Wilson was named to the first team as a wide receiver and to the second team on special teams as an all-purpose player.

John and Peterson were named to the honorable mention squad.

Wilson, who just completed his final year at Georgia State, had 71 receptions for a conference-leading 1,177 yards and eight touchdowns. He led the Sun Belt with an average of 98.1 receiving yards per game.

He also returned 15 punts for 125 yards (8.3 yards per return; fifth in the Sun Belt), and 31 kickoffs for 730 yards (23.5 yards per return; fifth in the Sun Belt).

Peterson, a sophomore, led the Panthers with 103 tackles and two sacks. He had the third-most tackles in the conference.

John, a senior, helped a passing game that averaged 253 yards per game.
