Despite standing just 5-foot-7, Spud Webb bested Hawk teammate Dominique Wilkins to win the 1986 NBA Dunk Contest. But it wasn't enough to crack Moore's top five highlights.

Isn't Morten Andersen's (right) 38-yard game-winning field goal against Minnesota in the 1999 NFC Championship Game the greatest Falcons' highlight ever? Not according to Moore.

What about Georgia quarterback David Greene's touchdown pass to Verron Hayes against Tennessee? You know the one that UGA voice Larry Munson said broke the face of the Volunteers with a hobnail boot. Sorry Bulldog Nation, that memorable play didn't make the cut either. But don't give up. A Bulldog highlight has to be in here somewhere, doesn't it?

What about David Justice's solo homer in Game 6 of the 1995 World Series?

You would think one of Herschel Walker's highlights from his proflic career at Georgia would make the cut. But not even Walker's plowing through Bill Bates or this touchdown dive over Florida made its way into Moore's top 5.

OK ... enough with what highlights didn't make the cut, and on to Terence Moore's top 5 highlights in the history of the state. No. 5: Front page of Atlanta Constitution on April 10, 1974. With the whole world watching, Hank Aaron blasted his 715th home run over the left-field fence at Altanta-Fulton County Stadium.

No. 4: "To the 30. Lindsay Scott 35, 40. Lindsay Scott 45, 50, 45, 40. Run Lindsay. 25, 20, 15, 10, Lindsay Scott. Lindsay Scott. Lindsay Scott." -- UGA voice Larry Munson. With UGA trailing Florida with less than a minute to play, Buck Belue found a streaking Lindsay Scott, who rambled for the game-winning touchdown.

No. 3: Prior to 1990, Atlanta was pretty much Loserville, USA, writes Moore. That changed when the Olympic Committee awarded the 1996 Olympic Games to the city of Atlanta. The front page of the Sept. 18, 1990 edition of the Atlanta Journal.

No. 2: Vick did what? On Dec. 1, 2002, Michael Vick put on a performance for the ages, rushing for 173 yards on just 10 carries against Minnesota. His superhero-like effort was highlighted by a 46-yard winning touchdown scramble through nearly the entire Viking defense in overtime.

No. 1: Unforgettable. It was over. Trailing Pittsburgh 2-1 in the ninth inning of the 1990 NLCS, the Braves' magical season was one out away from being over. Then, with David Justice on third and speed-demon Sid Bream on second, Francisco Cabrera delivered a base hit to left field. Barry Bonds charged and threw home. Somehow, Bream beat the throw home, sending the Braves to the World Series.
