Wide receiver Taylor Gabriel will hit the free agency market this offseason Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff said at the NFL scouting combine on Wednesday.

After getting the confirmation from Dimitroff that he would not be re-signed, Gabriel took to twitter to thank the Atlanta fans.

“Want to thank #ATL for riding up with me these last two years creating #TURBO,” Gabriel said. “I’m very grateful to the owners, GM, also the coaches for giving me that opportunity, but excited for the new team and city that welcomes me with open arms #Turbo #Godwilling”

Gabriel said in February that he loved the Falcons, but knew the NFL was a business and his services might not be retained by Atlanta.

Gabriel had a major drop-off in his second season with the Falcons. He only accumulated 378 yards and one touchdown this season, while going for 579 yards and seven touchdowns in 2016.
