Atlanta Falcons don’t call wide receiver Taylor Gabriel “Turbo” for nothing.

Former NFL defensive back and ESPN analyst Matt Bowen released his list of fastest players in the NFL last week and his list contains two Atlanta Falcons.

Gabriel, 5-foot-8, 165 pounds, is ranked eighth on the list while All-Pro receiver Julio Jones is ranked 12th.

Bowen determined each NFL star’s placement on the list by their track speed and how it translates to the field.

“Gabriel has video game ability in space and the top-end speed to split the middle of the field wide open... He just bounces through the traffic, finds a crease and then hits the gas pedal. See ya. With Gabriel's combination of 4.2 speed, vision and the ability to slip tacklers in space, he's a quick-strike weapon for the Atlanta offense,” Bowen wrote.

A former Cleveland Brown, Taylor caught for 579 yards and six touchdowns last season.

With a 4.39 40-yard dash and a 100-meter time of 11.30, Jones struggled with speed while working through a foot injury this season. When healthy, Bowen praised Jones for his “freakish” skill set on the field.

“With the matchup ability to post up defensive backs and the speed to obliterate pursuit angles after the catch, the Falcons wide receiver might be the most feared offensive player in the league today,” Bowen wrote.

Jones finished last season second in the League in receiving yards with 1,409 yards and six touchdowns.
