Gwinnett Stripers pitcher Josh Ravin entered the game left the game in the ninth inning Thursday against the Durham Bulls after being hit in the face by a line drive.

Ravin, 30, entered the game at Durham Bulls Athletic Park in the ninth inning before his only pitch of the game was returned to the mound by the Bulls’ Justin Williams.

Ravin could not stand on his own after the impact and was sent to a local hospital after being carted off the field.

The Stripers went on to win the game 3-2 and the team announced it would provide updates on Ravin as they become available.
