Quarterback Xavier Shepherd threw four touchdown passes Saturday as Kennesaw State defeated Robert Morris 45-21 in Moon Township, Pa.

Shepherd increased his touchdown passes this season to 13, which tied the school single-season record. He has thrown eight touchdown passes in the past two games. Shepherd, a sophomore, became the first Owls quarterback to lead his team to eight wins in his first nine starts.

Overall, Shepherd was 8-for-12 passing for 185 yards. Caleb O’Neal caught five of those passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns. Adeolu Adeleke caught a 42-yard touchdown pass from Shepherd. Iaan Cousin also had a long play, a 55-yard pass from Jonathan Murphy that went for a touchdown.

The Owls (8-1, 5-0 Big South Conference) will go on the road next weekend for a game at North Alabama at 3 p.m. ET Saturday.
