Here are six players to watch in Saturday's soccer game between Mexico and Paraguay at the Georgia Dome. Game time is 5:30 p.m.

The exhibition game is a warm-up for both teams as part of their preparations for the Copa America Centenario, a tournament featuring national teams from countries in South America, as well as the U.S. squad.

Mexico is No. 16 in FIFA’s world rankings and Paraguay is No. 39.

After playing in Atlanta, Mexico will face Chile in San Diego on June 1. The Copa America Centenario will start just a few days later.

MEXICO

Alfredo Talavera, goalkeeper: When Mexico manager Juan Carlos Osorio was asked which players he would use to build an expansion team, one of the first players he selected was Talavera, a standout at Toluca in LIGA MX. His club finished 11th in the table, but allowed just 21 goals, among the fewest in the league.

Miguel Layun, defender: He went from relatively unknown in Mexico to one of the better wingers in European soccer in just a few years. His ability to get up and down the flanks and deliver crosses and through balls into space for forwards to run onto is one of the keys to Osorio's aggressive tactics.

Andres Guardado, midfielder: With the outside backs flying up and down the flanks, Guardado is one of the protectors of the back line and facilitators on offense. He isn't flashy but uses solid positioning and an innate ability to read the game to usually put himself in the right position. He has made more than 120 appearances for "El Tri" since 2005.

Hector Herrera, midfielder: Layun's teammate at Porto, Herrera is a box-to-box midfielder who has had an inconsistent impact for the national team. He is arguably the more creative midfielder on the team.

Javier Hernandez, forward: After seasons of inconsistent playing time at Manchester United, "Chicharito" secured a move to Bayer Leverkusen in Germany and scored 26 goals across all competitions. He's not big (5-foot-9) but has the given ability to be in the right place at the right time.

PARAGUAY

Nelson Valdez, forward: The Seattle forward has one goal and one assist since joining the MLS squad before the 2015 season. He will likely lead Paraguay's front line on Saturday.
