Atlanta United will be without Josef Martinez for several weeks after the striker was named to Venezuela’s 23-man roster for Copa America on Thursday.

The competition will take place from June 14-July 7. Atlanta United has four MLS games and at least one U.S. Open Cup game during the span.

Martinez leads Atlanta United with 10 goals this season. He has 10 goals in 47 appearances with Venezuela.

Venezuela opens the tournament against Peru on June 15 and then plays Brazil on June 18 and Bolivia on June 22. The knockout state begins June 27.

Martinez played with Venezuela Wednesday in a match against Mexico in Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
