Here’s five things to know on Monday:

1. Braves lose to Nationals, 3-2

After winning the first two games against the Washington Nationals over the weekend, the Braves lost the final game of the home series 3-2 on Sunday afternoon. Dansby Swanson hit a two-run double in the eighth inning to put the Braves in a position to rally, but they fell short. The Braves begin a four-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday night. Monday's game will begin at 7:35 p.m. at SunTrust Park.

2. Bryan Cox Sr. thinks his firing resulted from 2016 Combine incident

3. Atlanta United defeats Houston Dynamo, 4-1

Atlanta United midfielder Miguel Almiron scored his first hat trick on Saturday against the Houston Dynamo, helping Atlanta United win the game 4-1 inside Bobby Dodd Stadium. Atlanta United returns to Bobby Dodd Stadium on Sunday to play New York City FC. The game kicks off at 5 p.m.

4. Dream falls to Sky in home opener

The Atlanta Dream lost to the Chicago Sky 75-71 on Sunday afternoon at Georgia Tech's McCamish Pavilion. A recap of the game can be read on the AJC.com.

5. Swarm advance to Champions Cup

The Georgia Swarm defeated the Toronto Rock 13-9 on Saturday at the Infinite Energy Arena and advance to the National Lacrosse League's Champions Cup. The details of the game can be read on the AJC.com.
