Here’s a few things to know on Friday:

1. Braves shut out by Padres

The Atlanta Braves lost to the San Diego Padres 6-0 on Thursday night after veteran pitcher Jamie Garcia allowed six runs in six innings. First baseman Matt Adams' left foot was hit by a ball in the second inning and left the game with a foot contusion. Manager Brian Snitker said Adams is "day-to-day." The Braves play the first game of a three-game series against the Oakland Athletics on Friday night at 10:05 p.m. from Oakland's O.co Coliseum.

2. Atlanta United to play Columbus Crew

Atlanta United will face off against Columbus Crew SC on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. from Columbus' Mapfre Stadium. The match will air on Fox Sports Southeast.

3. Bartolo Colon DFA'd after 13 starts

Braves pitcher Bartolo Colon, 44, was designated for assignment on Thursday afternoon after recording a 2-8 record with an 8.14 ERA in 13 starts in Atlanta. David O'Brien has more.

4. Change to Freddie Freeman's injury-rehab schedule

Freddie Freeman still plans to be activated from the Braves' disabled list on July 7-9 when the Braves take on the Washington Nationals, but David O'Brien reports Freeman might not be activated until after the All-Star break.

5. Paul Millsap to meet with Suns on Sunday, per reports

Hawks forward Paul Millsap is expected to meet with teh Phoenix Suns on Sunday, according to John Gambadoro of 98.7 FM in Arizona.
