Nov 21, 2017After the Seattle Seahawks lost to the Atlanta Falcons 34-31 on Monday night, coach Pete Carroll defended his fake field goal call at the end of the first half.
The Seahawks trailed 24-17 and lined up for a 34-yard attempt. The Seahawks tossed the ball to tight end Luke Wilson who was stuffed by Falcons’ defensive tackle Grady Jarrett.
"It would have been a really good call if we would have made it," Carroll said, according to USA Today. "It was a terrific opportunity, right where we wanted it. The defensive tackle made a better play. He wasn't supposed to be there."
