Atlanta Track Club Executive Director Rich Kenah promised on Friday that anyone who didn’t receive a T-shirt after running in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race will.

The club began to recognize at 10:45 a.m. that it was going to run out of certain sizes of the prized T-shirts. Kenah said they have already reached out to their vendors to order more.

An email will be soon be sent to those who finished after 10:45 a.m. with details on when the T-shirt will be mailed to them. The ATC hasn’t yet calculated how many people that will be.

“My understanding is there were people who were disappointed and upset,” said Kenah, who was overseeing his first Peachtree. “That is why we will make sure everyone who passed the start line and finish line will receive their T-shirt.”

Kenah said he didn’t want to speculate on why the shortage happened.

Racers are asked to request a shirt size when they register.

Kenah said they usually order around 60,000 shirts, but attrition is a factor.
