Gwinnett Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna was named USA Today’s Minor League Player of the Year on Wednesday.

Acuna had stints with the Braves’ Class A team in the Florida State League and the Double-A Mississippi Braves before being promoted to Triple-A Gwinnett after the All-Star break.

In 139 games with this season, the 19-year-old from La Guaira, Venezuela averaged .325 with 181 hits, 82 RBIs and 21 home runs. Acuna also recorded 43 walks and 144 strike outs.

Acuna hit .344 in 54 games with Gwinnett.
